For international students who complete an eligible program of study in Canada, a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) may provide an opportunity to gain Canadian work experience after graduation. Depending on the program’s length and eligibility criteria, a PGWP may allow eligible graduates to work in Canada for a specified period. After gaining sufficient qualifying skilled work experience, an individual may become eligible to apply for permanent residence through the CEC, provided all other program requirements are met.
